Oleg Prokopyev (born 1979) studied Applied Mathematics and Physics at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He obtained his PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida in 2006. Following his doctoral studies, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh in the United States, where he eventually held a full Professorship at the Department of Industrial Engineering.
