Christiane Barz studied industrial engineering and management at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) in Germany, where she also received her Ph.D. After two years as a postdoctoral fellow at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, Illinois, she was Assistant Professor (tenure track) in the "Decisions Operations and Technology" group at UCLA Anderson School of Management, California. After a short time at the TU Berlin as Professor for Industrial Production and Service Management, she moved to the University of Zurich in the summer of 2016.
